NFC is a set of standards for smartphones and similar devices to establish radio communication with each other by touching them together or bringing them into close proximity, usually no more than a few centimetres. "We began taking inventory on NXP and Qualcom chips about 6 months ago ahead of the curve" Berman explained. It could be either NXP chips or Qualcom devices. But either way, they will be in there and over the next 5 years people won't have a need to carry around a wallet full of credit cards."
